Hajrah Kamran

Hajrah is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science at Charles Darwin University and a Bachelor of Islamic Studies at Charles Sturt University. She has lived in the NT for 10 years and has a casual job at United Muslims of the Northern Territory, as a project assistant. Hajrah graduated from the Darwin High School in 2020 where she was a member of the Student Representative Council and organised events and fundraisers, particularly on the topic of mental health.

Currently, at university, she is the Allied health Representative for Students Association for Rural and Remote Health. She has also joined the Women in STEM, and the Student Ambassador program where she gets to visit schools and promote medical courses and women empowerment. In her volunteering work, Hajrah is also an advocate for youth mental health and has been conducting community events surrounding youth leadership, confidence and boosting self-esteem. Her hobbies include reading about science, journaling and polishing her Arabic calligraphy skills.
